Where You're Docked

Cruise ships dock at Black Falcon Cruise Terminal about a mile and a half southeast of downtown Boston. Shuttles may be provided to Quincy Market.

Local Transportation

Boston has a bus and a subway network, named the T. Fares start at $2.40 for a single trip or $11 for a day pass (July 2022). http://www.mbta.com

To get downtown from the cruise terminal, first take the SL2 bus from Drydock or Black Falcon Ave (it does a loop at the pier) to South Station. You can transfer to the subway for one stop to Downtown Crossing on the red line.

Uber and Lyft ride hailing apps operate in Boston.

Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market - these historic halls now houses markets, food stalls and specialty shops
Freedom Trail - a walking tour of historic buildings in Boston
Cheers - The original bar which the TV show is based and where the exteriors were shot is at 84 Beacon St (NW corner of Boston Common). The replica bar by Quincy Market closed in 2020.

Shopping & Restaurants

Downtown shopping can be found along Washington St. Food stalls can be found inside Quincy Market and there are restaurants on Market St beside the building. There is a Chinatown south of downtown.

Local specialties include clam chowder, Boston Cream Pie and Parker House rolls. Legal Sea Foods is an upscale chain restaurant known for their fresh seafood.

Post Offices

There is a post office at 31 Milk St downtown.
