Cruise ships anchor beside the famous arches and efficient shoreside tenders take passengers to the main dock at the south end of the marina.

Money and Tipping

Exchange Rates Live

Mexico's currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN) though US dollars are widely accepted. You may get change back in Pesos however. You can exchange money at any bank with ID. A tip of 15-20% is expected when dining in restaurants. Taxi drivers do not expect to be tipped though a little extra is appreciated for good service.

Local Transportation

You will need to take a taxi to get to the hotel zone and beaches east of the marina. You can also take a water taxi to the arches ($15), the short trip across the marina or directly to Medano Beach ($2-$3).

Sights

El Arco - These arches are the symbol of Cabo San Lucas. Lover's Beach is adjacent to the arches. Reachable by water taxi from the marina.

Shopping & Restaurants

Shops and restaurants can be found in the marina area, along Blvd Marina and Cardenas, and along Medano Beach. The Office is a recommended beach restaurant there.

Asi y Asado is a taco restaurant featured on a few travel and food shows.

There are a few malls including Puerto Paraiso. There is a Sam's Club and Walmart further east on Blvd Cardenas.

Cafés and restaurants may provide free wifi for customers.
