Helsingborg is a city located across the narrow strait with Denmark.

Where You're Docked

Cruise ships anchor offshore and tenders are provided to a pier near the ferry terminal. It is a short walk to the keep and the main part of town.

Money and Tipping

A small tip is appreciated but not expected when dining in restaurants or taking a taxi.

Must See Sights

• Town Hall - This building is a symbol of the city.
• Karnan Tower - Up the hill from town hall, you can climb up the keep for a small fee.
• Helsingor - You can take a ferry across to Helsingor in Denmark where there is a small town and Kronborg Castle which is the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Shopping & Restaurants

In Helsingborg's city centre there are five hundred shops, cosy restaurants and cafes. The shopping district starts from the Kullagatan pedestrian precinct in the center including its adjacent side streets and stretches to the city's center in the south around Gustav Adolf Torg.

Outside the city you'll find the Vala modern shopping center with a large number of shops. There is also an IKEA here.

The City of Helsingborg offers free public wifi at the eight locations in the city center.
