Koper is a small town located close to the border to Italy.

Where You're Docked

Cruise ships dock in town beside the marina. It is an easy (but up the stairs) five minute walk to the town center at Tito Square.

Local Transportation

Since Koper is very small, you can also visit the scenic town of Piran to the west. Buses depart from the train station about 1 km south of the Muda Gate. Alternatively, you can take a bus out to Trieste, Italy which takes about an hour. Buses cost €3.10 and do not run on Sunday and Italian Public Holidays.

Shopping & Restaurants

There are a lot of pizzerias, fish restaurants, and shops in the old town. Modern shopping centers can be found on the eastern side of the city. A small market may be set up at the pier.
