Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska



Whittier is a small fishing town used as an embarkation port for cruises due to its proximity to Anchorage. Anchorage is 60 miles to the northwest.

Whittier is very small and has one store and one pub and most residents all live in a single apartment complex.

  • Dimond Mall - the largest mall in the area and can be reached by bus.
  • Fifth Ave Mall - located downtown
  • Anchorage Market - By 3rd and E St on the weekends and Wednesdays at Northway Mall parking lot in the summer.
