Local TransportationA shuttle may be provided to take you from the ship to the cruise terminal saving the walk along the pier. Outside the terminal, look for public buses at the end of the large port parking lot that will take you to Old Port Square by the New Fortress for approx €1.50. If you want to walk, head towards the Fortress. Turn right at Theotoki (by the end of ferry terminal) heading slightly uphill passing a supermarket on your left. You will eventually end up in San Rocco Square in the new part of town. Turn left at the end of the square to go to old town. This walk should take less than 30 minutes. Alternatively, keep on walking keeping the water on your left and turn right just pass the New Fortress (same route as the public bus). If you want to see the whole island or head to the beach, you should rent a car or take a tour. Buses to other parts of the island are infrequent.
