Introduction

Manzanillo is a resort city with two large bays.

Where You're Docked

Cruise ships dock at a new pier beside the downtown (Centro) area close to the sailfish statue. Ships may also use a commercial port approximately a mile east of centro. You will need to take a bus or taxi to get to the town or beaches.

Money and Tipping

When dining in restaurants, it is customary to leave 15-20% tip for good service since servers typically make minimum wage. Taxi drivers should be tipped the same rate. Banks and ATM's can be easily found in the city center.

Local Transportation

• Audiencia Beach - This was the beach featured in the movie "10" with Bo Derek. It is located by the Tesoro Hotel.
• Swordfish Monument

Shopping & Restaurants

Mexico Ave in Centro is the main street with banks and shops. There is a central market off the main street. In the hotel zone, there is a Walmart and Plaza Manzanillo Mall with a department store and supermarket. Further north at Miramar beach is an outdoor tourist market.
